Thirukkannapuram

Thirukkannapuram is a sacred spot located 12 km north of Tiruvarur, in Tiruvarur District of Tamil Nadu. It is one of the five Krishnaranya Kshethrams (Thirukkavithalam, Thirukkannamangai, Thirukkannangudi and Thirukkovilur are the others) in the state. Arulmighu Sowrirajaperumal Temple is the main attraction here.

The pilgrim center of Nannilam is 9 km away. Ambagarattur, Muppattankudi of Pondicherry and Thittachery are the places in the neighborhood. Keezhvelur, a prominent town in Nagapattinam District, is 12 km south.
