Thenpennai River

Thenpennai River or Vena is the other name of river Yamuna of Brindavan when it flows along Paranur in Tamil Nadu. This water is used during Brahmothsavam in Paranur for Sri Baktha Kolahalan's Abishegam on the Krishna Jananothsavam day. Thenpennai is the major seasonal river in Viluppuram District. Across this river is the Sathanur Dam.
