The Akkara House is a large Syrian Christian private residence located at Chungom, around 4 km from
Kottayam town. It is placed on a few acres on the river-bend of the Meenachil River. The house features beautiful open courtyards, rectangular verandah and
terracotta floors.
A comfortable stay is ensured in its three spacious guestrooms. Traditional cuisine is served here. Apart from these, the guest house arranges backwater cruise, boat ride and sightseeing tours.
