Thanjavur Art Gallery is housed within the 17th century Nayak Palace in
Thanjavur,
Tamil Nadu. It is filled with an array of bronze sculpture, stonework, paintings and other artefacts. The exhibits are from different periods such as
Chola and
Pallava.
The items are displayed in three sections including Pooja Mahal, Indira Mandir and Rama Chowdam. Apart from gallery, the palace is inclusive of Saraswati Library and Sangeetha Sabha (Music Hall).
