Thai Paradevatha



Thai Paradevatha is a form of Kali. The goddess was created to kill the evil spirit Darikan. In the folk art of theyyam, Thai paradevatha wears a tall head dress, and a mask that resembles the Tibetan face pieces. The theyyam is performed according to the myth of the Darika-Kali tale.
