Teri Pods is a large, scandent, prickly shrub having dark brown bark with numerous recurved prickles and is common in the scrub forests of the eastern Himalayas. It also grows in the
Eastern Ghats,
Andhra Pradesh and
Madhya Pradesh.
The roots are credited with astringent and antipyretic properties. Teri Pods is generally used as rejuvenator.
It is also known as Udakiryaka and Putikaranja.
