Tenzing Rock and Gombu Rock are situated on Lebong Cart road in
Darjeeling and provide a challenging experience for the rock climbers. It is also known as monkey rock.
The rock is named after Tenzin Sherpa and Nawang Gombu. Tenzing Sherpa climbed the Tenzing rock in the presence of Jawaharlal Nehru without taking any safety measures. Himalayan Mountaineering Institute conducts rock climbing courses on these rocks.
