Teeka




Teeka is the Bengali name given for the traditional red mark often worn by married Hindu women. Men also wear the teeka as a tradition in everyday life. Teeka is called in different names across the country such as kumkum (Sanskrit), sindhoor or bindi (Hindi), bottu (Telegu) and kunku (Gujarati).
