Tarikh al-Hind

Tarikh al-Hind is a short Indian history written by Abu Rayhan Muhammad Ibn Ahmad Biruni in Arabic. Completed in the 11th century, it is one of the most important treatises on Indian history and culture. Tarikh al-Hind describes the circumstances in India at the time of Mahmud of Ghazni's arrival. A book of considerable interest and value to scholars, Tarikh al-Hind provides a descriptive account of the life, religious faiths, languages, culture and geography of India at that time.
