Tarana

Tarana is a small settlement located about 35 km north of Ujjain and 30 km south-west of Shajapur, in Ujjain District of Madhya Pradesh. It is located towards the district’s northern border, with Shajapur District.

Tarana is a famous trekking spot in the district. Mandir of Rodeshwari Mata and Dasi Hanuman Mandir at Shajapur and Mahakaleshwara Temple at Ujjain are sacred places near the town.

Nearest airport is at Indore. Ujjain Junction Railway Station serves Tarana. National Highway 3 passes through this town.
