Tammki

Tammki is a small one-sided drum. It is usually played in wedding processions or folk dances. It is also known as ‘tamak.’

Tammki measures 6 inches in diameter. It contains strings on its side to adjust the tightness of the hide. It features light decorations in the form of small tassels tied to the rim.

Tammki is usually played in pairs. Two drums of this variety are tied to the drummer’s belt, with the beats produced by fingers or sticks.
