Tamang Selo is a dance performed by
Tamangs, a Nepali community. Also called Damphoo Dance, it is conducted on occasions such as marriage, child birth and village fairs. The dance is performed to the rhythmic sound of the Damphoo musical instrument which the dancers carry in their hands. With the brisk movement and rhythmic beat of the Dampoo, it depicts a style peculiar to the Tamangs.
