Takho Chak is located on the borders of the line of control in Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 2 km east of Nawanshahr. Perched at an altitude of about 800 ft above sea level, Takho Chak lies to the west of the Chenab. The major city nearest to Takho Chak is Jammu of Jammu District. Takho Chak is also well linked with Nadala (2 km west), Sainth (2 km north), and Kalial (3 km south).
Regular buses are available from Shoroz, Dhariala and Gangwal towards Takho Chak. Jammu Tawi Railway Station, which is on the Jammu - Pathankot line, serves this place.
