Syed Muhammed Kasim Festival

Syed Muhammed Kasim is an annual festival, celebrated by the people of Kavaratti, in Lakshadweep. During the ceremony, the devout Muslims do not sleep a wink at night reciting 'Moulood' - a short biography of the Prophet Muhammed written in Arabic.
