Sweet Scented Oleander (Nerium odorum) is a large evergreen shrub with milky juice, seen in the
Himalayas up to an altitude of 1,950 m. It is mainly cultivated for its fragrant showy flowers.
The leaves, roots, bark and seeds contain cardiotonic substances, which are anti-inflammatory, stimulant and good pain relievers. The paste of the root is used in external application in hemorrhoids, chancres and ulcerations.
It is also known as Indian Oleander, Kaner and Karber.
