Swarsangam

Swarsangam is a stringed instrument, which combines the features of both Tambura and Swarmandal. It has nineteen strings in total, with four of Tambura and fifteen of Swarmandal. This rectangular shaped instrument does not have any gourd or neck. The whole body functions as a sound box, and on playing it vibrates and produces fantastic sound and tone. There are machine head screw fittings for fine and accurate tunings.
