Sun Temple at Jhalawar




The Sun Temple is situated in the middle of the town of Jhalawar. It was built in AD 813 by Maharaja Nag Bhatt of the Pratihar Rajput clan. This temple is dedicated to Shri Padmanathji. The canopy on the main entrance is built according to the Mughal-Rajput style of architecture. The worship of the temple is done as per the Pushtimarg philosophy. The temple is accessible by road and rail. The nearest airport is about 90 km away at Kota.
