Sumra




Sumra is a small hamlet located seven kilometers from Hurling in Lahaul and Spiti District of Himachal Pradesh. It lies at an elevation of around 3,120 m above sea level, in the Spiti Valley. The Spiti River flows through the village. Durjichimbo Temple is the main attraction here. Nearby tourist destinations are Lari, Sumdo, Tabo Monastery, Kaza, Kurith, Poh, Sichling, Attargo and Lingti. Sumra is an ideal base for trekking. Kullu Manali Airport at Bhuntar is the nearest airport. The nearest major railway stations are Shimla Railway Station and Joginder Nagar Railway Station. Sumra can be accessed from Tabo and Shimla.
