Sultan Canal

Sultan Canal, the inland water transport system connecting Perumba and Taliparamba, was constructed in 1766 by Ali Raja of Kannur. The canal, around 4 km long, is a much loved location for boating in Kannur District. Traditional houseboat cruises take 8-10 hours journey to reach Parassinikadavu Mutthappan Temple.
