Student Visas

Student visas are issued for the duration of the academic course of study or for a period of five years, whichever is less. These visas are issued on the basis of letters of confirmation from universities/recognized colleges or educational institutions in India. Once the student visas are issued, a change of purpose or institutions is not permissible. As the processing of student visas require longer duration, students applying for visas to study in India are advised to apply well in advance.
