Stone Flowers




Stone Flowers (Latin name, Parmelia perlata) is a lichen, mainly composed of fungal mycelia, found in rosettes or irregularly spreading over the substratum giving the appearance of a flower.

The plant has astringent, bitter, acrid, cooling, anti-inflammatory and aphrodisiac properties. It is prescribed as a medicine for sores, boils, inflammations, seminal weakness and amenorrhea.
