Star Flower (Pentas Lanceolata) is a tropical perennial herb that blooms year round. It can be grown in containers, and can be used as beds or borders. It is also known as Egyptian Star Cluster and Penta.
There are many varieties of plants, which includes lager types (erect shrubs with woody stems) and smaller types (low mounds herbaceous). The flowers come in white, lavender, purple, red and pink shades. Pentas need only little maintenance because they are highly tolerant to heat, soil conditions and pests.
