St Thomas Orthodox Church of Malankarakkunnu, situated near
Sulthan Bathery, is the first Church in
Wayanad District.
In the beginning, this Orthodox Church was under the reign of the Bishop Paulose Mar Sevariose of Cochin and Malabar Diocese. Today it is under the control of Sulthan Bathery Diocese. Holy Qurbana (Holy Communion) is held on every Sunday morning and on special days.
