Sri Raja Rajeswari Temple




Sri Raja Rajeswari Temple is situated at Devaswam Board Junction near the Mahadevar Temple in Kowdiar. It sits midway between Kowdiar and Nanthancode in Thiruvananthapuram.

Devotees worship Goddess Durga here in the name of Raja Rajeswari. Lord Ayyappa, Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesh, Snake Gods and Navagrahas are also worshiped. Pushpanjali, Pushpabhishekam, Bhagyasuktham and Mrityunjaya Homa are the main offerings.

The annual festival of the temple falls during December-January. Thousands of devotees from nearby places throng at the temple during the festive occasion.

Sri Raja Rajeswari Temple is around 6 km from Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station. Regular buses are available from City Bus Station at East Fort.
