Sri Lakshmi Kuberar Temple




Sri Lakshmi Kuberar Temple is a delightful shrine located at Rathnamangalam, a village near Vandalur, in Chennai District, in Tamil Nadu. The temple is considered as the first temple dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Kubera in the district.

Sri Lakshmi Kuberar Temple enshrines Lakshmi Kubera as the main deity. The idol of Lord Kubera is seen with his family. Goddess Lakshmi is the bestower of wealth and Kubera is the custodian of such wealth. Hence large number of devotees visits the shrine to get the blessings.

Sri Lakshmi Kuberar Temple is a 4,000 sq ft temple complex with a five-tier gopuram. Other deities worshipped include Lakshmi Ganapathy, Selva Muthu Kumaran, Yoga Anjaneya, Navagrahas, with their Vahanas in separate shrines, with a 'Goshaala'.

Vandalur Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
