Sri Kacchapaeswarar Temple




Sri Kacchapaeswarar Temple is located at Kanchipuram. The temple is said to have been built by the Pallavas. The speciality of the temple is that here Lord Shiva is being worshipped by Lord Vishnu in the form of a turtle. Kacchapam is the Sanskrit word for a turtle. Hence the name Kacchapaeswarar.
