Sradham

Sradham is a ritual performed by the eldest son of a departed soul. It is performed by Hindus. It is believed that by offering certain rituals the departed soul is purified from all sins.

This ceremony takes place after 15 days from the death of a person and is also performed every year there after. At the end of the ceremony small rice balls are offered to crows, for it is believed that crows represent the ancestors.
