One of the commonest butterflies in the forested areas in India, Spot Swordtail (Pathysa nomius nomius) has a long black tail, a bluish white upper side and a bronze-brown colored underside with white markings. The forewing is lined with five broad black bands and surrounded by an outer band of white spots. Two black elongated sub-basal bands are seen on the hind wing. In summer, it is found in damp patches.
