Southern Gray Shrike (Lanius meridionalis) is a medium sized passerine, slightly smaller and darker than the
Great Gray Shrike, usually seen in the dry open country. It has a lot of white in the primaries in flight as well as in the tertials and bordering the scapulars. The white across the top of the bill is clearly visible. It is a pale bird.
The bird feeds on large insects, small birds, rodents and lizards.
Southern Grey Shrike can be seen in the Keoladeo Ghana National Park, Rajasthan.
