Someshwara Temple

Built in the Chola style in 1332, Someshwara Temple at Kurudumale resembles a stone fort. The entire structure is an arrangement of stones without using cement or water. The temple has a set of 12 entrances on the eastern wall corresponding to the 12 months of the year, and during each month the sun's rays pass through the corresponding opening. The main temple of Nateshwara and the temple of Kshama Devi are also interesting.

Kurudumale is at 105 km from Bangalore and can be accessed easily from Mulbagal by road on the Bangalore-Kolar-Mulbagal Road.
