Snake Dance

Snake Dance is a vigorous rural dance form, performed by young women embellished in a tight-fighting costume, designed similar to the snake-skin. The dancer imitates the movements of the snake, writhing and creeping. Sometimes, quick biting movements with head and hands are also made. The raised hands which are held together reflect the hood of a snake.
