Sitamani Temples and Caves

Sitamani Temples and Caves are among the prime attractions of Korba in Chhattisgarh. It is an ancient site with three caves that have been formed by cutting the rocks found at the side of the trench. One of the caves enshrines the idols of Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshman. Lord Ram is believed to have passed through this area during his exile from Ayodhya. The foot prints found here are believed to be those of Sita. Another highlight is an ancient stone inscription. Ram Sita Temple is to the right of these caves. Apart from this, several small temples can be seen in the vicinity, with ancient idols of gods and goddesses.
