Singri Temple is situated on the banks of Brahmaputra River, about 45 km west of Tezpur, in Assam. The temple is also known as Gupteswar. The presiding deity here is Lord Shiva.
Singri Temple has been found mentioned in the Kalikapuran as Shringatak. A popular belief is that one can attain salvation by worshipping the Shivling installed here.
Mahashivaratri , celebrated here, is a major draw attended by thousands of devotees from far and near.
