Sheep




Sheep are herbivores mammals with thick white, black or brown woolly fur, hoofed feet and short tail. Sheep is about 2 to 4 ft tall at the shoulder. Some species have horns; often curved. The horns grow throughout the life of the sheep. Sheep were domesticated and are farmed for their wool, meat and milk. There are different types of wild sheep which are closely related to wild goats. Adult male sheep is called ram and female ewe. Babies are called lambs.

Sheep feeds on grass, leaves, twigs and young plants.
