Sharana Basaveshwara Temple



Sharana Basaveshwara Temple is a highly revered shrine situated at Gulbarga, an ancient town situated to the north-eastern part of Karnataka. The temple is dedicated to an eminent Hindu religious teacher and philosopher, Sharana Basaveshwara.

Sharana Basaveshwara Festival, lasting for a fortnight, held during the month of May, attracts thousands of devotees from far and near.

Gulbarga Railway Station, on the Mumbai-Bangalore main line, is the nearest railhead. The temple is about 214 km from the Hyderabad Airport.
