Shaheed Minar is located at Bir Tikendrajit Park in
Imphal, the capital city of
Manipur. This tall structure was built to revive the memories of invincible spirit of Manipur martyrs, who sacrificed their lives while fighting against the British in 1891.
Close to this minar is the War Cemetery, which was built for both British and Indian soldiers those who gave up their lives during World War II.
