Secunderabad Junction Railway Station



Secunderabad Junction Railway Station is a major railhead of South Central Railways. Hyderabad Express, Thiruvanathapuram-Hyderabad Express, Golconda Express, Chennai Express, Visakha Express, Konark Express are the main train connections. The main portico and concourse are influenced by Asaf Jahi architecture. This station building that resembles a fort is one of the tourist attractions in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

Computerized reservation facility is provided. An information cell for the tourists is provided at the station. For the ease of passengers, Passenger Operated Enquiry Terminal (POET) facility provided. To access information on movement of trains, the service of National Train Enquiry System (NTES) can be availed. Indrail pass is available at the reservation center.

Just 3 km from the railway station is the junction of Sardar Patel Road and Mahatma Gandhi Road. Only a 5 minutes drives from the railway station is Hotel Baseraa, a 3 star hotel. The Central Bus Station is at a distance of 10 km from the railway station. There is a local bus station close to the junction station. Towards south, the major railhead is Hyderabad (8 km.) Nearest airport is Hyderabad Airport.
