Scarlet backed Flowerpecker




Scarlet backed Flowerpecker (Dicaeum cruentatum) is a member of the family of passerine birds. It is a small bird of about 9 cm with bright red crown and upper part. It has a dark face and breast.

Two to four eggs are laid, typically in a purse-like nest suspended from a tree.

Scarlet backed Flowerpecker can be seen in the Dibru-Saikhowa National Park, Assam.
