Sarchu




Sarchu is a famous camping site for the tourist enroute to Ladakh. It is situated about 105 km from Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti District of Himachal Pradesh.

Sarchu is the last point in the region bordering Jammu and Kashmir, going beyond which one enters Leh District. Being situated in the vicinity of the Himalayas, the town boasts of splendid scenery.

With unspoiled natural beauty, Sarchu is the perfect stopover for a tourist traveling long distance. Accommodation is available in the tourist bungalows and tented camp sites.

Nearest railhead is the Joginder Nagar Railway Station.
