Sanka Railway Station, also spelt Shanka Railway Station, lies on the Santaldihi-Adra rail route. Passenger trains connecting Bokaro and Howrah pass through this station.

The station is served by the South Eastern Railways. Traveling north-west, Rukni Railway Station is the nearest main station. Adra Junction Railway Station is situated to the south-east of Sanka.
