Samba is one of the prominent towns in
Jammu District of
Jammu and Kashmir. It is situated on the
Jammu-
Pathankot highway.
One of the five
taluks in the district, Samba is a famous centre of block printing called the Calico Painting.
Kendriya Vidyalaya located here is a famous educational institution in the district. Places of tourist interest are Galad, Chak Faqira and Chandwa villages.
Jammu Airport and Jammu Tawi Railway Station are the nearest access points. Regular bus service connects Samba with Jammu, about 40 km away.
