Samaraichchakahaa




Samaraichchakahaa is an ancient text belonging to the Jain canonical literature. Its composition is credited to a revered person named Acharya Haribhadra Suri. It is written in a language belonging to the Prakrit linguistic group. This text depicts the constant struggle between the good and the evil through the life accounts of its two protagonists.

Samaraichchakahaa follows the birth-cycles of two rival kings named Ujjayini Samaraaditya and Agnisharma. These two kings, one bad and other good, are believed to have reborn eight times. The text portrays their individual lives along with their struggles, hopes and aspirations. The text is divided into nine sections, one each for each birth.
