Salwas




Located in the outskirts of Jodhpur, Salwas is a small village famous for pit loom weaving. This handicraft center is known for all types of Indian carpets. Visitors can select various intricate designs from the hand-woven cloth.

Besides carpets, the village produces rugs, bed covers and durries. Wool, cotton, and camel hair are used to produce these items. Main attraction in the village is the Weaver’s Co-operative, Roopaj Durrie Udyog, where one can select these handicraft items.
