Salihotra

Salihotra is renowned as the Father of Veterinary Sciences. He is the son of Hayaghosha, a Brahmin sage and resided in Sravasti. In animal husbandry, he was the most eminent authority on horse breeding. His treatise includes Haya Ayurveda or Turangama Ayurveda, Sali Hotra Samhita, Asvaprasna and Asvalakshana Sastram.
