Saga Dawa

Saga Dawa is one of the most important festivals observed by the entire Buddhist community. This triple blessed festival is celebrated on the full moon day of the 4th month of the Buddhist calendar, around the end of May and early June.

The birth of Lord Buddha, his enlightenment and attaining Nirvana are the three important events celebrated in the festival of Saga Dawa.
