Panduranga Temple



Rukmini Mandir is a renowned temple located at Pandharpur, about 38 km west of Solapur. This is a major Vaishnava shrine dedicated to Mother Rukmini. Lying on the banks of the Chandrabhaga River, the temple is popularly known as Panduranga Temple.

Bounded by high walls, Rukmini Mandir is noted for huge towers. The high plinth where the temple stands is 170 ft north-west and 370 ft east-west. There are 12 steps in the main entrance which is known as Namdev gate. The temple houses the figure of Namdev holding tambourine in hand. Vishnupad Temple, Trimbakeshwar Temple and Shri Ram Temple are nearby attractions.
