Ruddy Shelduck

Brahminy Duck



Ruddy Shelduck is smaller than a goose with distinctive uniformly rust-colored plumage. It is about 60 cm in length. It nests in rock recess, rock faces, ruins, buildings and on trees. The bird mostly feeds on plant material, but insects and other invertebrates are also eaten.

Ruddy Shelduck can be seen in the Bhindawas Bird Sanctuary, Haryana.
