Rosh Hashanah

The Jewish New Year is celebrated with the festival of Rosh Hashanah. This 2 day festival falls in the month of September or October and is held to commemorate the anniversary of the creation of mankind. It is thought that God passes judgment and decides the fate of all mankind during these days. Hence people pray for God’s mercy, forgiveness and hope to be spared. They also pray for a year of prosperity, well being, and happiness.
