Reeve's Pheasant




Reeve's Pheasant (Syrmaticus reevesi) has a short body with tremendously long tail. The crown, chin and back of head are white with a black band covering the face, eyes and extending to the back of the head. Body color is yellow and well marked with buff, brown, grey and black. The tail is very long, white with black bars. They feed on insects and seeds.

The bird can be seen in the Allen Forest Zoo, Kanpur.
