Red-rumped Swallow

Striated Swallow



Red-rumped Swallow (Hirundo daurica) is looks smililar to a swallow but with a pale rump, which may not be as obviously red as the bird’s name suggests. The bird has a pale throat, pale ring around the nape and the black under tail coverts, which contrast sharply with the pale belly. The bird nests in caves or in man-made tunnels.
